thoughts for a tune
wanting to tune the H.
where should I go and what should I expect?
I have skunk2 intake manifold kings motorsports intake, 10.2mm vision wires, denso iridiums, cheap header,
apexi n1 exhaust, and some other small things.
I would like to put down around 180 ish.
is that realistic?
thanks

The Shop Inc! FTMFW!
Mine put down 133whp on their mustang dyno...on Dan's Dynojet it put down 159whp almost 160whp. But with the mustang dyno you will get more realistic numbers plus there awesome guys to talk to.

Re: thoughts for a tune
I have a chipped p30 with a phearable chip.
but I plan to tune with the VAFC that I have installed for ease.
I dont want to pull the chip out everytime, and got on the computer and deal with burning it
and with the vafc I can use the hi/lo throttle settings and I have the display also.

Re: thoughts for a tune
The shop I use to work for here in KC tuned a swapped JDM H22A prelude with
AEM Intake
HyTech Header
Test Pipe (who needs cats)
Apexi N1 Exhaust,
Skunk 2 intake manifold,
Chrome P28 (very fine tune)
12lb Competition Clutch flywheel and Stage 2 street clutch.
I'm trying to remember the numbers. I think it made like 183 or 184 WHP 143lbs FTQ redline at 8300rpms with vtec cross over at 5100 rpms. This car was a beast for a prelude. It ran strong!!!!!

Re: thoughts for a tune
<=== Not a fan of the vafc's....Sell it! You can adjust more using your chipped ecu than the vafc, plus if it's already chipped you can have Matt from Phearable.net write you a new program to tune with for your exact set up.

Re: thoughts for a tune
the chip is from phearable, i told him my setup before he burned it. i still use all the other features of the chip, like the 2 step, shift light, ect ect but i want to get it dyno tuned, and i am not going to drive to phearable, lol.BOWERS wrote:<=== Not a fan of the vafc's....Sell it! but i will just use the vafc to change the mapping. and use the 2 throttle settings.
idk yet i want to find a decent place first

Re: thoughts for a tune
I never like the VAFC's it always changed the settings when I didn't need it too and it was not efficent enough when it came down to tuning. I've delt with AEM, Hondata, Crome, Neptune, and VAFC. Out of all of them I loved the AEM EMS when it came down to tuning.BOWERS wrote:<=== Not a fan of the vafc's....Sell it!
