The build of the Midori Hatch.. 56k Take A Hike!!!

So I put myself on a budget, a time frame, and set amount of money for JUST mugen parts hahahhahaha.

Well, Here is where it starts. Parts are on the way, and no going back now.

96 hatch Midori Green hatch from Kia of Lincoln for a STEAL of a price. Stock condition, body is fairly good, but could use a bit of work. Pretty much wanted to get something to run the 2008 auto-x season in. Stay tuned because Jason from the shop has some goodies for it, ALOT of goodies and I will be updating the thread at least a couple times a week as long as parts keep showing up.

Mod list will be up once the motor is in and I am at a temporary stopping point, until then, will be under wraps except for the people that know the truth bout whats going in.

Alright, just another teaser of whats to come... This is a fraction of the carbon thats in store.. This is what is here already.



Motor will be in once the hasports, clutch, flywheel, and Quaife get here. Motor was picked up the other day and will be cleaned extensively. Wont look like that when it goes into the car. Just paid for the breather setup on it. 2 -10 AN fittings off the front of a valvecover to a custom catchcan that the Chassis guy came and measured for yesterday. Once I get the valvecover fittings on, I will be taking the valvecover up to Trail Performance Coatings to get powdercoated as well as MANY other items from the engine bay, and header to get ceramic coated.

Hey, Jrod how much did something like this run ya? Do you think if I gave him my hatch and a list of things I wanted then said I would give money to them every week or every other week tell its paid for they would go for it? I was thinking about trying something like that with a shop or whatever just because I can't get a loan for the whole amount and Im not a very good saver. Just wondering I might be interested in doing something like that if they would.

To be totally honest, no idea.

till got alot of wok to do. Waiting on a bunch of stuff, still. Lots of powdercoating, ceramic coat the header.. it goes on. Danm. Test fit of the header.

Slicks I got for a $150. They have nothing more than one burnout in the box on them from what I was told. I think thats a steal for slicks and wheels!
